More About Us
National History
On December 10, 1998, at St., Johns University in New York ten astounding women came together to form Sigma Sigma Rho, making it the first South Asian interest sorority of its kind on the east coast. On this date, our founding mothers established the humble beginnings of an organization that many sisters have since come to embrace and love. These women instilled in the organization a sense of strength and purity.
Sisterhood is what we work for
Society is whom we give to
Remembrance is what lies in our hearts
These are the pillars of our organization, the very foundation we have been founded on. It is our mission to uphold these pillars through everything we do. We develop women of strength and leadership through active participation within our respective communities, and through it, strengthen those traits of conduct, thought, and idealism which characterize the members of this organization. Our goal is to provide a meaningful and worthwhile academic and social experience for all engaged in collegiate work, and to cooperate with other organizations and societies in every manner consistent with our mutual purposes. This is also why Sigma Sigma Rho is a NON-HAZING organization.

Our History
In the Spring of 2017 at Mercer University, nine Distinguished Ladies took their journey to continue that legacy. They stepped out in that Royal Blue, Black, and Silver to show the world what they were all about. Building on the dreams and goals of their founders, filled with pride in their hearts - the sisterhood that has been built will NEVER fall apart!
